The map of Cornwall is divided into areas. Some
areas already start with copper and tin cubes in. You roll three extra
dice to see how many extra tin and copper cubes are placed in these
areas, along with how much water.
The Time Track shows how many time points you have spent, (a little
like the system in Jenseits von Theben).
The Developments table tells you how many of each development are
available to be taken each turn. The number varies depending on the
turn. The game last for four turns. There are five different types of
developments:
MINERS increase you mining capacity.
PORTS remove water cubes and increase your mining capacity.
ADITS are placed across a border and remove water cubes from each
area, along with adding one tin and copper cube to each area.
TRAINS remove two water cubes from the area they are placed in and
one from each adjacent area. They also increase the mining capacity of
the area they are in.
A varying number of STEAM PUMP discs are available each turn. Each
disc allows you to remove one water cube.
You spend money to place cubes on the EXTERNAL INVESTMENT display.
This is the only way to score victory points in the game.
You keep track of your money on the MONEY TRACK.
The ORE PRICES table is used to determine the price for tin and
copper. You roll all three special dice to see what each metal will sell
for.
